About Me

Hi! I’m Kristin Allegrezza –

fka Kristin Socci or Kristin McGarigle

depending on which chapter of my life you entered.

Thanks for stopping by.

I was born and raised in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My folks were college educated, church going, and had a wonderful group of friends. We went to art museums and plays in lew of sports games. My Father, in particular, instilled a few grains of knowledge that influence me to this day. “You will meet and work with all kinds of people in your life, take them for who they are…not what they look like or do”. My Mother’s parents were both alive during my childhood and trips to see them were the highlight of most summers growing up. They lived in a huge house in Bloomer, Wisconsin. My best childhood memories are from time spent in that house.

After graduating from Wauwatosa West High School, I attended Cosmetology School. I worked for a time in a salon but soon learned it was not going to pay the bills…at least not at that particular salon. So, my parents suggested that maybe I should go to college and “meet some new people”.

Five years later, after starting out at UW-Milwaukee, I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Theatre Arts. During those years I spent a summer at The Utah Shakespeare Festival. One friend I made at USF became my roommate in Minneapolis and introduced me to a few people that lead to a job at The Guthrie Theater during my final year of college. She also introduced me to a gal that would remain one of my best friends to this day.

From Minneapolis I moved west. I lived and worked in Seattle, Washington from 1994-1997. In the spring of 1997 I went on a 32 week, 109 city non-union bus and truck tour of “A Chorus Line”….with the same friend I mentioned from the USF. This experience lead me to my move to NYC in Jan 1999.

I was very lucky that I was only in NYC for 2 weeks before landing my first job on Broadway. I was introduced to Adelaide Laurino, may she rest in peace, who was a force on Broadway. She was Cameron Macintosh’s Wardrobe Person. She set up many major shows and worked with many major people. She gave me my first job as a swing dresser on “Miss Saigon”. After working there for about 8 months I was offered a job as a full time ensemble dresser for “Beauty and the Beast”. I spent 5 years working there until I decided to change careers.

I quit Beauty and went to The Chubb Institute.

I spent around 9 years working in IT consulting, worked at Microsoft for 7 years and after finishing my MBA – Cybersecurity, I have joined Armis as a Customer Success Manager.

After almost 12 years of marriage, I was widowed in 2015.

6 months to the day after my first husband past, I met my second husband.

We dated for 2 years before getting married.

I live in Norwich, CT with my husband Jon and our 2 rescue dogs.
